The first edition of the CRT Cup Golf 2024, organized by the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) Fès-Meknes, began on Sunday in Fez and will continue until November 21. This international event brings together around sixty personalities, including former ministers, sports champions and representatives of major tour operators from Spain, France and the United States.
The president of the CRT Fez-Meknes, Ahmed Sentissi, stressed that this strategic event highlights the region’s golf infrastructures, such as the Royal Golf of Fez and that of Meknes, while strengthening tourist attractiveness.
“CRT Cup Golf is not just a simple competition, it is an exceptional showcase which will allow these decision-makers to discover our world-class golf infrastructures, distributed between the Royal Golf of Fez, the Michlifen golf course of Ifrane and the Royal Golf of Meknes” he indicated.
He also positioned the CRT Cup as part of Morocco’s great sporting ambitions, alongside the CAN 2025 and the 2030 World Cup.
For her part, former French minister Valérie Fourneyron praised the quality of the Moroccan welcome as well as the economic and tourist impact of the event, which she considers as a showcase for the international influence of the Kingdom.
For his part, the regional delegate for Tourism, Abdellah Lamniai, highlighted the hybrid dimension of this event, both sporting and tourist, which boosts the regional offer and promotes the assets of Fez-Meknes.
Morocco
