The results of Group B on Monday ensured the Blues’ qualification for the round of 16.

It’s official ! The French team is qualified for the round of 16 of this Euro 2024 even before facing Robert Lewandowski’s Poland on Tuesday – 6 p.m. – at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund for the last group match. A qualification obtained thanks to the results of group B on Monday. Spain’s Luis de la Fuente, who played his substitutes, won against Albania (1-0). At the same time, the reigning European champion, Italy, was held in check by Luka Modric’s Croatia – the oldest scorer in the competition (1-1) – in a match with a cruel scenario.

If the first and second places in each group qualify, four of the six third places will also join the knockout stage. A position that France is sure to occupy, regardless of its result against Poland. With four points in two matches played, they are guaranteed to finish ahead of Hungary (3 pts) and Croatia (2 pts). Good news for our Blues.
