Two years later, the scenario repeats itself. Ghana, this time eliminated by Ivory Coastmisses his second consecutive qualification. This edition organized in Egypt sees the coronation of Zaire (today DR Congo).
CAN 1982 :
Despite a comeback in the meantime, the Black Stars relapsed and were eliminated by the Nigeria in qualifying. Ironically, Nigeria reached the final, but succumbed to Libya.
CAN 1986 :
New disillusionment four years later, with elimination at the hands of the Ivory Coast. Host country Egypt wins its third title.
CAN 1994 :
For the edition organized in Tunisia, Ghana is excluded by theAlgeria during qualifying. That year, Nigeria won its second continental title.
CAN 2004 :
Elimination in the face of Rwanda comes as a shock for a team of this caliber. Tunisia finally wins at home.
