After months of speculation, it appears Pep Guardiola’s future has been decided at Manchester City
The Manchester City Pep Guardiola is having a tough time lately in the Premier League. After defeats against Tottenham et Bournemouththe Citizens lost against Brighton last weekend (2-1).
That, and 115 potential Premier League charges hover over the heads and decision-making of Champions. But there could soon be a reason to smile for a City fan. Pep Guardiola is on the verge of signing a new contract which will allow him to stay at the Ethiad Stadium for another year. According to Football Insiderthe agreement is 99% complete.
The legendary City coach will therefore sign a new contract which runs until the summer of 2026. Guardiola’s future has been the subject of much speculation in recent times. The Spaniard has been linked with England and Brazil coaching jobs, but it appears he has decided to continue coaching in the Premier League.
City is not currently only five points behind leader Liverpool. Having won six titles in the last five seasons, Guardiola’s men have a tough task ahead of them. Guardiola won six English titles, the Champions League and two FA Cups after taking charge of City in 2016.
