SU Dives-Cabourg has therefore opened the doors to a new 8th round of the Coupe de France. This Saturday, November 16, 2024, the Divais had to pull out all the stops with a perilous trip to Saint-Lô.
Facing another N3 team, SU Dives-Cabourg was able to take the advantage in the first period. 0-1 at the break thanks to a goal from Alban Bekombo (15th). Maxime Verrier’s teammates were able to keep this goal in advance until the end of the match and even for a long time in stoppage time before the locals snatched the equalizer in the 99th minute (1-1).
This parity score, acquired just before the end of the match, forced the Divais to go through the penalty shootout… No matter, in this little game, the Divais were able to prove themselves better than their one-night opponents to win with a score of 5-4.
