The Bleuets conceded a draw after leading a half against Denmark (1-1), in an international friendly match on Saturday November 16 in Marbella (Spain).

The U20 national team concluded the first of two international friendly matches with a draw against Denmark (1-1), Saturday November 16 at the Banus Center in Marbella (Spain). She thus remains undefeated in five preparation matches for the 2025 U20 World Cup since the start of this season, after four initial victories. She will play her second confrontation of the month on Monday November 18 at the same place against the United States (5 p.m.).

THE MATCH

After an early scare on a failed recovery from Lisandru Olmeta in his area, which the French goalkeeper immediately caught by blocking a Danish attacker (4th), the Bleuets gradually took the measure of their opponent. Strikes from Steve Ngoura – above (21st) then repelled by goalkeeper Andreas Dithmer (24th) – and Mayssam Benama, too lively (32nd), carried the danger, before a Danish shot acrobatically saved on his line by Olmeta (38th).

Captain Jérémy Jacquet finally found the opening just before half-time by converting a stray ball into the area with his right cross (43rd). An advantage preserved in the following minutes by a new reflex save from Olmeta on his line (45th).

More in management in the second half against the Danes who became more engaging, the French first avoided the opposing equalizer thanks to Olmeta, author of a double save in front of Gustav Christensen (64th). But they gave in at the very end of the match with a point-blank header from Jonathan Foss, served by Christensen (89th).
