According to information from the British media, the regulations stipulate that each boxer must rest for three days per round contested. This means they can face a forced rest of up to 24 days if they compete in all 8 rounds.
It is important to note that if one of the fighters loses by technical knockout (TKO), the beaten boxer will be suspended for a minimum of 30 days.
“Medical disqualification of a competitor is for his or her own safety and may be carried out upon the recommendation of the examining physician or the TDLR,” according to the regulations.
