Chris Paul validated an authentic feat last night. The Point God became the third player in NBA history to surpass 12,000 career assists after John Stockton and Jason Kidd.
Jason Kidd better watch out, his second place in the ranking of the best passers in NBA history is hanging by a thread. By achieving 11 last night, Chris Paul surpassed 12,000 career successes and is now less than 100 lengths behind his predecessor.
Unless there is a surprise, the Point God will overtake him in around ten matches, thus becoming the runner-up to an untouchable John Stockton. In the meantime, the feat achieved by the San Antonio Spurs player last night still deserves attention and as a symbol, it was on a cake for Victor Wembanyama that history was written.

Before the Frenchman, hundreds of players were able to benefit from CP3 caviars. The top 5 of those who enjoyed it the most are:
- Blake Griffin – 1,157
- David West – 1,120
- JJ Redick – 633
- DeAndre Jordan – 575
- Peja Stojakovic – 429
Chris Paul is also the third best stealer in NBA history. He is chasing the same two men and could also soon overtake Jason Kidd. He needs about 60 flights of the ball to do this.
Bravo CP3!
