And another big name in James Harden’s retro. By scoring his 2,973rd career winning shot last night against the Rockets, the bearded man tied Ray Allen in the ranking of the most prolific 3-point shooters in history. A nice accomplishment, since the rear also climbs to second place (tied) in the said ranking.

The stats of this moderately historic match here.

James Harden is now the second man with the most 3-pointers in NBA history, ex-equal with Ray Allen. The sentence is absolutely crazy. And yet, that night against the Rockets, his former team, The Beard rose to the same level as Ray-Ray in the ranking of the most prolific snipers in the entire Great League. If the moment is ultimately a little disappointing, since the full-back was only one additional winning shot away from definitively toasting Jesus Shuttlesworth, it nonetheless remains historic.

For his return to the Toyota Center, James Harden had to make history. And in the room which has seen him score the vast majority of his winning shots since his arrival in the NBA, we will remember that the bearded man did not completely miss it. However, things had started so well. From the first quarter, The Beard recalled good memories of his Texan period, swinging three bombs behind the arc. Ray Allen’s total equalized in twelve minutes, the hardest part is done. Quite naive, the writer of this article actually began the paper you are reading, based on the principle that the record was going to break.

But that was without taking into account the clumsiness of this clumsy rear, unable to get a shot from distance during the remaining three quarters. In the end, Harden finished the game with 21 points, and “only” three of his nine attempts behind the arc converted. Surpassing Ray Allen will wait, the historical paper that goes with it too.
