It was not only in Lyon that the DNCG struck this Friday, November 15. The financial policeman of French football has imposed a recruitment ban on FC Martigues, dead last in Ligue 2, as well as an immediate control of its payroll.
The Martégal club, which appeared before the DNCG on Friday, is also subject to demotion as a precautionary measure at the end of the current sporting season.
FC Martigues intends to “continue [ses] sports goals”
In a press release, FC Martigues explains that it takes “note of the decisions of the National Management Control Department (DNCG)”.
The club also specifies that it will speak “soon in order to provide details on the situation and the actions envisaged by the club”.
“Be assured of our commitment to defend the interests of FC Martigues and to pursue our sporting objectives”, concludes the Martega institution in its communication.
