It’s a long soap opera that should finally see its end. According to information from the Team, the board of directors of the Professional Football League (LFP) met on Thursday November 14 and approved the date of the Champions Trophy. The match between PSG and AS Monaco should be played on January 5.
If a new board of directors is to be held this Monday, November 18 in order to definitively decide on the location and date of the event, the meeting should take place in Doha, Qatar.
Passed from Beijing to Doha
Initially planned last August in Beijing, the track was abandoned due to administrative burdens in China. Once considered in Ivory Coast, the Champions Trophy should, unless there is a turnaround, be played in Doha. PSG is largely in favor of this option within the club’s shareholder country.
