What if Joao Neves left Benfica this summer transfer window? According to information from Record, the Lisbon club would have offered him a contract extension. In particular, he offered him an annual salary of 1 million euros. The young 19-year-old midfielder, however, would have refused this offer, judging that this amount did not reflect his status.
A departure this summer cannot therefore be ruled out. Excellent news for Paris Saint-Germain, which is on the file of the one who is under contract until June 2028. Still according to the Portuguese daily, the club from the French capital is already negotiating with Benfica. The latter hopes to obtain 100 million euros for his Portuguese international.
For the moment, however, Joao Neves certainly does not intend to worry about his future. The native of Tavira is present in Germany, to play Euro 2024 with Portugal. His national team got off to a successful start against the Czech Republic (2-1), but the Benfica player did not come into play. He hopes to make his debut this Saturday, against Turkey.
