After the tribute paid by the Blues to the clubs from their beginnings for a photo during Euro 2024, the latter were invited by the FFF to attend the match against Israel.

From Germany where they were competing in Euro 2024, the Blues sent a strong message to their first clubs on July 4, before their quarter-final against Portugal (0-0, 5 tab 3). For a photo, the players of the French team wore the jersey of their first team on the field, and thus paid tribute to the clubs, educators, coaches, presidents and volunteers of their beginnings.

This tribute in the form of a wink, already initiated by the FFF during the 2022 World Cup, continued at the Stade de before Israel’s reception this Thursday, November 14, 2024. The FFF indeed invited the leaders of the first clubs to which the Euro semi-finalists paid tribute, four months ago.

Facing club representatives, FFF president Philippe Diallo praised the essential role of amateur clubs and the importance of their link with the high level. “It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the Stade de France. This operation was initiated in Qatar during the 2022 World Cup and we wanted to renew it. It illustrates the unity of our , from amateur clubs to this elite, he declared. We have 2,400,000 licenses in France but in this photo, there are 25 Blues. If they are there, it is thanks to your passion and your commitment within your clubs. It was you who allowed them to hatch. Thanks to your investment, today they bring happiness to the French team and contribute to the influence of French football. We wanted to pay tribute to you for the work you have done. The day this photo was taken, I saw players who found their inner child, everything became light again. They remembered the moments spent in their youth. Everyone is able to tell me about their first match, their first training because you marked them. »

In the presence of National Technical Director Hubert Fournier, Philippe Diallo gave them two jerseys: one from the French team and one from their club which made the trip to Germany, both autographed by their former player.
