AS Béziers Hérault learned this Wednesday, November 13 of the
decision of the Béziers criminal court against Taleta
TUPUOLA, convicted of domestic violence and sentenced to 14
month suspended prison sentence. The player, who has always admitted the facts, is
also forced to an obligation of care, a measure which he had
expressly requested.
The club renews its support for the wife of Mr. TUPUOLA and wishes to
express deep disapproval of the behavior
unacceptable from its player, contrary to the values and principles defended
by ASBH.
From now on, justice has been done and the club does not intend to replace the
court. After an interview with the player, it was decided that he
would reintegrate the workforce of the ASBH in the coming days, under certain
conditions.
Among these, the player was asked to make a lasting commitment to
a mission of general interest. Thus, every week and outside of its
working time, Mr. TUPUOLA will put himself at the service of an organization which
helps people in precarious situations, particularly
women victims of domestic violence.
Until the end of the sports season, respecting its commitment to
accomplishing the missions entrusted to it constitutes the sine condition
qua none so that the player is considered worthy of wearing our
jersey on the rugby fields.
The ASBH hopes that this approach will be an opportunity for Mr. TUPUOLA to
demonstrate its desire to be part of the ASBH project again, both
for himself and for the entire club.
