Having not played a match since October 27, Michael Pezzetta is champing at the bit. He is impatiently waiting for Martin St-Louis to reinstate him in his training.

In the meantime, don’t think that he sees the situation negatively. Quite the contrary. He prefers to see the glass half full rather than half fast. And he knows that he will be ready when the CH head coach calls on him.
“There’s no point in feeling sorry for myself and worrying about what’s happening around me. I just have to focus on myself and make sure I’m a good teammate, encourage everyone and see things in a positive way,” the 26-year-old striker told colleague Renaud Lavoie after the training on Tuesday.
The curly-haired player continues to give his all during training and brings positive energy.
“I’m just checking all the boxes and working hard to make sure that when I’m in the lineup, I’m ready to go,” he said.
Pezzetta has only played three games since the start of the 2024-2025 season. In those three games, he was held off the scoresheet and spent four minutes in the penalty box.
During the Habs’ last losing streak, St-Louis chose not to use it. Despite everything, he advocates patience and knows that if the team needs him, he will be ready to respond.
“It wouldn’t do me any favors (to be impatient). I wouldn’t want to be that kind of teammate who brings bad energy to the team. I try to be positive and see the glass half full.”
A choice of 5e tour of the team in 2016, Pezzetta has played 178 games in a CH uniform since the start of his career, scoring 15 goals and 38 points along the way.
