NBA: Prestigious victory for Capela’s Hawks in Boston

Atlanta, the team of Genevan Clint Capela (30 years old), achieved a feat during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in the NBA. In a game also counting for the NBA Cup, the Hawks won by the tiniest of gaps at TD Garden against the Boston Celtics, winners of the last championship (116-117). A franchise which had only lost two of its first eleven duels fought since the start of the 2024-2025 campaign.

The team coached by Quin Snyder forced the decision in the second portion of the match. It was in fact led 65-54 at half-time by the Massachusetts club of star players Jaylen Brown, Derrick White and Jayson Tatum.

Aligned for 17 minutes, Clint Capela took advantage of this “little” playing time to provide very concrete and valuable help to his teammates. With a contribution of 18 points, the Swiss veteran was the Hawks’ third most productive professional behind Dyson Daniels (28) and Larry Nance Jr (19). He also provided 1 assist and grabbed 9 rebounds.

In the Eastern Conference standings, Atlanta is 8th with an intermediate record of 5 victories and 7 disappointments. The ball is led by the Cleveland Cavaliers who have won all 12 games since the start of the campaign.

The Hawks, who ended a two-game losing streak, will play their next match on Saturday at 1:30 a.m. (Swiss time) against the Wizards of Valais Kyshawn George. This will be the third face to face in 2024-2025 between the only two Helvetians in the North American professional league.
