RSC Anderlecht entered the international break with peace of mind after their big 0-5 victory against Cercle Bruges this weekend. Kasper Dolberg took on a hero’s role by scoring his second hat-trick in just a week. Impressive performances which have undoubtedly not escaped attention abroad.
Dolberg was recruited in the summer of 2023 to join Lotto Park. Although he went through a few difficult seasons, expectations were high due to his intrinsic qualities. With 15 goals, he put in a solid performance in his first season with the record-breaking Belgian champion.
However, the Dane has had a complicated start this season. The attacker too often found himself isolated on the pitch and received few exploitable crosses, while rarely making the difference through individual action. However, it seems that the situation is changing.
Eight goals in four matches
In recent matches, Dolberg has found his way to the goal with ease. During the series against Tubize, Kortrijk RFS and Cercle Bruges, he scored no less than eight goals. Impressive statistics which have undoubtedly not escaped the notice of several foreign recruiters.
Despite everything, a departure this winter seems unlikely for the international. The Danish media Tipsbladet indicates that Dolberg has rarely felt as good as he does now in Brussels. Plus, he’s having a lot of fun off the field as well.
Thus, the Dane can count on a large Scandinavian community in Brussels. “I see a lot of Danes and Swedes outside of football. It makes life easier,” explains Dolberg himself. For the moment, a departure from Lotto Park does not seem to be on the agenda.
