Anderlecht impressed last weekend. The Mauves largely won on the Cercle de Bruges pitch with no less than five goals scored.
Even if the final result suggests the opposite, Anderlecht struggled against Bruges’ pressing at the start of the match. It took a bit of time before the RSCA could really cause any problems for the Slavon Muslic players.
It was finally Kasper Dolberg, in the 18th minute of play, who allowed Anderlecht to take the advantage with a lightning counter-attack. The Danish striker then scored two more goals in the second half. With eight goals in four games, one could say that Dolberg is the new boss of Anderlecht, but that is not really the case.
Hubert impressed
For David Hubert, it is rather Mario Stroeykens who fills this role: “Mario is our playing master. He flourishes in this role. He has the personality and the level for it and he progresses with each match. He released a complete match against Cercle de Bruges.”
He is gaining strength
The question now is where Stroeykens’ ceiling is. In recent weeks, the attacking midfielder has clearly gained momentum, having scored two goals in his team’s last three matches. If he continues like this, he will definitely join the Red Devils in the near future.
