Rabat – His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to members of the family of the former national football team player, the late Hassan Akesbi.

In this message, His Majesty the King affirms having learned with great emotion and deep affliction the news of the death of the late Hassan Akesbi, may God have him in his holy mercy and welcome him to his vast paradise.

In this painful circumstance, the Sovereign expresses to the members of the family of the deceased and, through them, to his relatives, his friends and his fans as well as to his large national sporting family, His deep condolences and His feelings of compassion following the loss of a pioneering sporting personality, having early contributed to the influence of Moroccan football since the 1950s of the last century, with an impressive performance which earned him a place of choice in the annals of the best scorers on both a national scale and than international.

Sharing the grief of the family members of the deceased following this distressing loss, the divine will being unstoppable, HM the King remembered the virtues of the late, known for his high moral qualities, his sincere patriotism and his high sporting spirit, so many virtues which set him up as an example for generations of young Moroccan players and a source of dedication and performance in the ranks of national and international clubs, particularly European ones.

The Sovereign implores the Most High to grant the members of the family of the deceased patience and comfort, to surround the deceased with his Holy mercy and to compensate him amply for the laudable services rendered to Moroccan sport and to his homeland. “We are God’s and to Him we will return”, true is the Word of God.
