“We want to put this club in the first part of the Ligue 1 table”indicates Pierre Ferracci, the president of Paris FC.
Paris FC will be bought by one of the richest families in the world. In a few days, the Arnault family will hold nearly 55% of the PFC with Red Bull and Pierre Ferracci.
Then in 2027, the current president will leave all of his shares: 15% for Red Bull and 85 for Antoine Arnault.
“He came to meet us to talk about it. He said that in the immediate future, nothing was going to change and that the people who were there, he trusts them, that the players who are there must seek to climb (in the League 1, editor’s note)”indicates Jean-Philippe Krasso, Paris FC striker.
For Maxime Lopez, midfielder, “at the beginning, among some players, there was a little fear. We heard big names, we said to ourselves that there would be tons of changes”.
With a larger budget, the club wants to recruit. Expand your training camp, your stadium. In short: change dimension.
“This requires a lot of resources, which go beyond mine and those of my family to be clear”continues Pierre Ferracci, the president of Paris FC.
Last summer, the club recruited former Marseillais Maxime Lopez and ex Stéphanois, Jean-Philippe Krasso. Two unexpected players in the second division. This helps, but it’s not everything.
This Saturday for example, Paris FC drew against Pau. His third draw in the league.
“We are first, we will try to keep this place”hopes Jean-Philippe Krasso.
Over the last four seasons, three times, the PFC has barely missed the climb. So some wait and others get excited with the arrival of the billionaire and already see a second important club in the capital.
