While waiting for the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi to be made official, OM seem about to announce their first transfer of the summer transfer window. Returning from his loan to Genoa, Vitinha should not stay in Marseille. The Rossoblù want to keep the 24-year-old Portuguese striker and an agreement to this effect has been reached.
A year and a half after his arrival from SC Braga, Vitinha will definitely leaveOM. Recruited for €32M including bonus, the most expensive transfer in the club’s history, the Portuguese never managed to establish himself in Marseille, which he left last January to take charge of Genoa loan.
Agreement reached between Genoa and OM for Vitinha
Despite his two small goals scored, Vitinha convinced the Rossoblù to keep it, without exercising its purchase option, estimated at €25M. The Italian press indicated in recent days that the Genoa and theOM had reached an agreement for a loan with compulsory purchase option, but it is definitively that the 24-year-old striker will be transferred, according to information from Provence.
OM will recover €15M
An operation which should bring in around €15M forOM and which should be made official in the coming days. Provence confirms, however, the existence of a buyout clause, the amount of which has not been revealed. If he wishes, the Marseille club can activate it in order to bring back Vitinha.
