Emotional roller coaster at Gaverbeek! Zulte Waregem and RAAL fought a hell of a duel, which saw Essevee win to stay in the top three.
RWDM’s last minute defeat at FC Liège on Friday redistributed the cards at the top of the Challenger Pro League. Thus, a single point taken at Gaverbeek was enough for the RAAL to take the lead in the championship.
But a victory for Zulte Waregem also allowed the Flandriens to join the leading pack, and that is exactly what happened this Sunday. It is Jelle Vossen who established himself as Zulte’s hero at the end of the match, after having missed the inevitable before half-time.
