Anderlecht plays next week at OHL. For this meeting, the Louvaiste club has decided to reduce the capacity of the visitors sector.
RSC Anderlecht plays at home this Sunday, against Cercle de Bruges. Next week, the Mauves will travel to OHL field.
For this meeting, the Louvaiste club has decided to reduce the capacity of the visitors sector. There will only be 550 – compared to the usual 750. Indeed, OHL favors its own supporters. In addition, the prices raise questions: they are not the same for all clubs (see press release).
In reaction, the RSCA Fan Council (Anderlecht supporters’ council) called for a boycott of bars in Leuven, in an inflammatory press release.
“We now have to disappoint 200 supporters! And we are fed up with visiting supporters being marginalized or having to deal with all sorts of absurd (security) rules,” we can read.
“OHL will therefore not earn a euro from RSCA fans during the match. Since we also understand that a drink is part of the footballing experience, we, from the fan council, will bring 1500 drinks to OHL and distribute them free of charge to the fans present, before and after the match in the parking lot.”
“Only a collective effort can put an end to the arbitrariness of clubs who consider visiting supporters as a necessary evil,” the press release concludes.
