Dender continues to drain the Freethiel!

Dender, promoted to the Jupiler Pro League, announced the recruitment of Frenchman of Portuguese origin Bryan Gonçalves, from Beveren, where he was under contract until 2026, in a press release (https://tinyurl.com/35dwkue8 ) published this Tuesday on its website.

The 27-year-old left back trained at Paris Saint-Germain is following the same path as his Slovak teammate David Hrncar, right back, who also left the Challenger Pro League club for Dender.

Gonçalves took up residence at Freethiel in the summer of 2023, and played 31 matches there (one goal, five assists).

He leaves after a season where he established himself as one of the most important Waesland players.

He previously played at Stade Lavallois Mayenne, in French Ligue 2, from 2021 to 2023 (55 matches, three goals).

Bryan Gonçalves has committed to Dender until 2026, with one season optional.

Dender was the first JPL club to return to training

“A club like Dender must make intelligent transfers,” explains new coach Vincent Euvrard (ex-RWDM and Zulte Waregem). “For example, by recruiting players who hope to be able to attract the attention of bigger players, by distinguishing themselves under our colors.”

“The ranking is not always a piece of paper stuck to the decreasing table of budgets, and I therefore firmly believe in our chances of maintaining…”.

Dender was on Monday the first Jupiler Pro League club to resume collective training for the 2024-2025 season.
