The latest poor performances of Kenor Desbois (9) do not reflect its true value. This is the reason why our expert Bruno Jolivet did not hesitate to trust him at the start of this event race, dedicated only to 4-year-old males who have not won 61,000 euros, on the 2,850 meter course, in this Friday evening at Paris-Vincennes. “He is the real horse for the selective courses of the big Vincennes track,” confesses his driver Alexandre Abrivard before expressing some doubts about his physical condition, which will not be optimal, because “ he only has one race in his legs after injuring himself slightly in the paddock. He may therefore lack a real race to win from the start. However, he worked accordingly and his place at the finish.” To the extent that the opposition seems to be well within his reach, the bet of putting him at the top of his selection is not fanciful, far from it. Other competitors will have high ambitions according to our predictions expert, like Kel Prestance (12), brilliant on speed courses, but “which may as well be on longer,” thinks his trainer Dominik Locqueneux, before concluding: “I’m counting on him for confirmation. He’s a good horse.” King of the West (5), judged on what he showed last winter, has the means to play a leading role. The Parisian beginnings of Krystal Piya (7) were convincing, confirms its developer Clément Thomain, “especially since he found himself with his nose in the wind. The commitment is a good one and he seems to have taken it well. He has the level to play a leading role.” In good shape as proven by his recent success, King of Larré (6) has his chance, like Kenzo du Mont (11), with good behavior, Kamour (13), on the path to renewal, and King Evolution (3), unshod on all four feet for the first time.
The prediction in figures from Bruno Jolivet (ParisTurf): 9 – 12 – 5 – 7 – 6 – 11 – 13 – 3.
100% Quinté: Grégory Joly chooses Kel Prestance
In the daily show 100% Quinté, Grégory Joly from ParisTurf studied this Quinté+ support event and he gives us his selection of five horses for this Prix Vesta.
Kel Prestance (12) : “He remains on two victories over the 2,100 meters of the Paris-Vincennes race and could completely confirm on today’s distance. He has the means to move up the category happily. Comfortable when he is barefoot, he displays 100% success at Vincennes, with two successes in as many attempts. Yoann Lebourgeois gets along well with him and the pass of three is possible.”
Kenzo du Mont (11) : “For a long time he had the illusion of victory last at Vincennes, before maintaining an honorable third place. He is in good shape and he has two places in as many races on the Parisian dirt.”
King of Larré (6) : “It’s a gamble and you shouldn’t hesitate to speculate in a race as open as this one. This is a horse that is making progress. He remains on a pleasant victory at Vincennes on a shorter course. However, it will be even better on the 2,850 meters of the big track. Late in winning, he will have all my confidence.”
Killer de Cahot (14) : “This second cartridge from Arnaud Desmottes has run well in Laval recently, posting good times and against opponents who repeated afterwards. The lines are in his favor and he should, in my opinion, fight for the first places.”
Krystal Piya (7) : “His statistics are interesting with 5 victories and 2 places in 11 races (64% career success rate). He is a brand new horse who has room for improvement. He performed well last at Vincennes even though he did not benefit from an economical run. Although shod, he is able to stand out in this configuration. It seems unavoidable to me.”
