A “grandiose” moment, launched the attacker, describing the Victory jersey, which she had presented to the members of the National Assembly a little earlier, as “super beautiful”.

“Every year there is likely to be something special [avec cette ligue]she added. This year, it’s the logo, it’s the name of the team that we wear proudly.”

Tons of compliments

And the original Drummondville resident is not the only one to be delighted with the look of the team. An overview of social networks Thursday morning showed that Bauer had not missed his mark with the styles proposed to the six groups (read ici).

That of Victory was particularly popular, and not only among Montreal supporters. It has been on sale since Thursday on the LPHF official website and will be on sale from November 14 at certain retailers.

Let’s talk about this famous sweater, revealed some two months after the name of the team, which was not unanimously accepted.

As was the case during the inaugural season, burgundy and cream are in the spotlight. Burgundy is Gabrielle David’s favorite because it’s the one that will be used at home games.

“We have a little sense of belonging [envers celui-là]», Pointed out the former Limoilou Titans, who did not expect to be presented like this to Parliament one day.

Designed for them

Several other elements, which we detail below, are intended to be representative of the city of Montreal, or even of Quebec.

And more good news for these ladies: the sweaters provided to them by Bauer are specifically designed for women. Which was not the case at the start of their inaugural season, where everything went very quickly for the six teams.

The 25-year-old striker was delighted, standing at 5’4″: “Let’s just say that I was pointed out that I was floating a little in my sweater last season,” said Gabrielle David, laughing.

  • The burgundy base reflects “the timeless elegance and power of Montreal,” explained the LPHF in a press release Thursday.
  • The navy shoulders and dynamic sleeve design are inspired by the angular lines of the club logo. This adds movement and precision.
  • The light blue stripe at the bottom of the sweater is intended to “provide contrast while maintaining a classic style.”
  • The navy and pale blue, which were not present on the jersey of the inaugural season, “add a place with our Quebec roots,” said assistant captain Laura Stacey in a Victoire press release.
  • As is the case for four other teams on the circuit, the Victoire players will wear navy pants.
  • Small fleur-de-lys have been integrated into the players’ numbers, which is another reminder of the club’s Quebec roots.

It wasn’t just La Victoire that unveiled its new uniform on Thursday. The other five teams on the circuit did the same, that is to say, as you can see above, the Boston Fleet, the Minnesota Frost, the New York Sirens, the Ottawa Charge and Toronto Ghosts.

For the creation of all the designs, the LPHF worked in collaboration with the Flower Shop agency.

Fleet de Boston: the blue bands at the bottom of the sleeves, similar to waves, illustrate the strong bond between Boston and the ocean.*

Frost you Minnesota: white accents on the sleeves, shoulders and chest add an icy touch reminiscent of cold Minnesota winters.

New York Sirens: the hexagonal shape of the logo and the colors evoke the energy of New York City.

Charge d’Ottawa: lThe entire sweater is intended to be an illustration of the energy and intensity that the Charge players display on the ice.

Toronto Specters: lThe uniform is intended to reflect the city of Toronto, described as “confident and modern”.
