The African Confederation of Sport for All was created on Wednesday in Abidjan, at the end of an elective general assembly during which Morocco, represented by Ms. Nezha Bidouane, president of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sport for All, was chosen to occupy the position of 1st vice-president of the said Confederation for the North Africa region.
The presidency of this pan-African sports structure reporting to the International Federation of Sport for All (FISpT) returned to Ivory Coast, while the position of 2nd vice-president was entrusted to Senegal for the West Africa zone. , at the time, Burundi was chosen for the position of 3rd vice-president for the Southern Africa Zone.
During this elective general assembly which was held in the presence of the president of the International Federation of Sport for All (FISpT), Aissa Mohamed Abderrahim, eight commissions were also constituted, namely the Relations Commission. International, the Sport and Events Commission, the Sport and Tourism Commission in which Morocco is represented by the vice-president of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sport for All, Simohamed Ouchen, and the Media and Communication Commission in which Morocco is represented by journalist Mohamed Benchrif.
These are also the Miscellaneous Games and Integration Commission, the Research and Education Commission, the Special Activities Commission and the Legal Commission.
In a statement to MAP, Ms. Nezha Bidouane, also a member of the FISpT executive committee, expressed her great joy at seeing the FRSPT join the said African Confederation.
The strong representation of Morocco within this pan-African structure clearly illustrates the place of choice occupied by our entire ecosystem of sport for all as well as the significant role that the Kingdom plays in the sporting field on an African scale. congratulated Ms. Bidouane, praising in passing the resounding success experienced by a number of large-scale sporting events that Morocco had the privilege of hosting.
Ms. Bidouane also recalled the actions carried out by the Royal Federation of Sport for All for a better popularization of sports culture among a wide audience, in accordance with the High Directions of HM King Mohammed VI, contained in the Royal message of 2008 which serves as a road map in this area.
