The atmosphere in Charleroi is unlikely to be good in the days to come. This Saturday, for the reception of Westerlo, the Ultras Carolos are preparing new actions.
Between Mehdi Bayat and the Carole supporters, in particular the Storm Ultras who are the hard core, it is open war. The catastrophic sporting results and the sporting policy of Mehdi Bayat seem to have made the divide almost irreparable in recent months.
The elimination at Patro Eisden and the defeats of recent weeks were only the straw that broke the camel’s back. After putting pressure on management throughout the summer to demand transfers which prove insufficient on the pitch, the Storm Ultras are preparing actions this weekend.
Thus, when hosting Westerlo, the Storm Ultras will only enter T4, their usual stand, from the 12th minute – symbol of the 12th man they represent. They also call on other forums to follow this protest action.
Before that, they will attack management directly, heading before the match to T1 to “demand the departure of all this mafia”. “No desire to go to T1 or force the gates,” specifies the press release, as well as no desire to interrupt the match whatever the scenario.
For several weeks, Carole supporters have also attacked Mehdi Bayat by name in their press releases but also the various agents whom they accuse of managing the club covertly: Mogi Bayat, of course, but also other agents and football players whom they designate as close collaborators (William D’Avila, Nicolas Onissé, Samuel Zambelli, Thomas Buanec and Karim Mejjati).
In short, the atmosphere is not good at Mambourg, and unless there is a major sporting recovery, it should not improve any time soon…
