The Foix tennis club is becoming a large Ariège club with more than 400 members and a training of young players, who bode well for a bright future.

Margaux Jouve is part of the Foix Tennis club. She is ranked 15/4, became 4th series champion of Occitanie. A major title that a member of the club had not obtained for several years. Aged 14, she also won the title of champion of Ariège.

Thibaut Dunac is also Ariège champion in 3rd series. He is ranked 15th and reached the semi-final of the Occitanie championship.

In the team championship, the men’s pennant team moves up to national qualifying division 4; This is an excellent collective result.

The 11/12 year old boys team is the Ariège champion. The 15/16 year old is also departmental champion and qualifies for the Occitanie quarter-finals, which take place on June 8 and 9 in Montauban.

Tournament scheduled in two weeks

The annual Foix Tennis club tournament will take place from June 22 to July 7. Like every year, to make the event attractive, women’s and men’s entries are limited to licensees ranked at most 0.

During the tournament, the multi-chance ladies and gentlemen, as well as the ladies ranked at the bottom of the series, will compete. Sunday June 30 will be mixed doubles day.

Concerning catering, during the tournament, menus and prices will be displayed on the boards provided for this purpose.

The Foix Tennis Club will be present at the Children’s Festival, at the Capitany stadium, on June 15. The Ariège Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee will be present at the Olympic week, organized by the city of Foix on June 18 and 20.
