Tennis: Jim and Yanis deprived of final
Saturday June 8, Jim Fauré and Yanis Taane, after a series of five victories, played in Figeac a semi-final of the Division 2 League championship against the Séméac team. From the outset, Bigourdans Lilian Dessoy and Eliott Sabathié showed their strength by flying over the doubles. Stung, the locals immediately reacted by winning the first singles as well as the first set of the last match. This ultimate duel, at once bitter, loyal and indecisive, changed in the tie-break of the third set in favor of the visitors who snatched victory, 2 to 1. A victory accompanied by a place in a final that the Figeacois have, at times, indeed spoken familiar terms. The club party on June 22 with a tree climbing outing, lunch, matches and then a family dinner will be an opportunity to congratulate Jim, Yanis and all the competitors, notably Sacha, Thomas and Adam, semi-finalists on June 15 against Muret and perhaps finalists in the 8/10 year old category, in Balma, June 23.
