The X account of Alexandre Allegret-Pilot, a candidate from Ciott supported by the RN in the 5th constituency of Gard, was deleted this Thursday, July 4, a few days before the second round of the legislative elections. He says he is notably “the victim of a dishonest cabal.”

The statements are not that old. Some date back to 2024 and 2023. Before being a candidate in the 5th constituency of Gard for the legislative elections, Alexandre Allegret-Pilot, a candidate from Ciott supported by the RN, who came out on top in the first round, was not stingy with sulphurous statements on social networks, X (ex-Twitter in the front line).

Sexism and undertones of xenophobia

In several of his comments, which are also denounced by his opponents from the New Popular Front in the constituency, the Frontist candidate does not hide his aversion to gender parity, which he considers to be a “regression”or of “masquerade” when it comes to the inclusion of abortion in the Constitution.

Like many far-right activists, he also attacked LFI Rima Hassan, alluding, in her case, to a “one way ticket” in Palestine. Alexandre Allegret-Pilot also referred to the “Nazi doctors” in a comment on a topic about transgender youth.

Account inaccessible

Active until the start of the legislative campaign, Alexandre Allegret-Pilot’s X account has been inaccessible since Thursday, July 4. Only computer screenshots recall the comments made. For his left-wing opponents, this is an attempt to conceal its content.

Contacted, the person concerned refutes this version and speaks of “bullying and reporting” who would have made “sauter” its account.

Alexandre Allegret-Pilot also says “victim of a dishonest cabal”. He does not deny the veracity of the written comments, but points out a “instrumentalization” comments from his NFP competitor, Michel Sala, “aimed at distorting the sincerity of the vote” of the second round. Alexandre Allegret-Pilot indicates that he filed a complaint for “defamation and threats”.
