The winter transfer window is fast approaching and behind the scenes management is working hard to make the necessary adjustments. To ensure you don’t miss anything, Footnews takes stock every day.
In Belgium
Last summer, Emin Bayram could have joined Anderlecht or Club Brugge, but the trick defender ultimately decided to stay at Westerlo and recently indicated that a transfer was not an option at the moment.
In search of defensive reinforcement, Anderlecht would also have turned to Pontus Jansson. The 33-year-old Swedish defender revealed that he did receive an offer from the RSCA last summer. Information which is not really surprising since Jansson worked for several years with Brian Riemer at Brentford.
KRC Genk would like to extend the contracts of Mujaid Sadick and Patrik Hrosovsky so that the latter two do not freely leave the club next summer. Discussions with the first city have already been initiated.
Abroad
Al Hilal could strike a big blow on the transfer market next summer. Indeed, the Saudi club would be ready to pay 300 million euros to secure the services of Vinícius Júnior.
Omar Marmoush is expected to leave Eintracht Frankfurt in the coming months. The 25-year-old Egyptian striker is being targeted by Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Liverpool.
