This rule change will also have an impact on the French organization. Before, when the rise of a partner was not obligatory to bring players out of play back into play, the Blues left their two best kickers at the back of the field, in this case the opener (Ntamack or Jalibert) and the back (Jaminet then Ramos), to both cover and return the ball far into the opposing camp. From now on, they will have to follow their kick, and the others will have to replace them at the back of the field. At the strategic level, the kicking game being made less interesting, this rule should encourage to use it less, but it is a trend which had already appeared in its game during the World Cup.
