Mario Stroeykens is starting to establish himself as the present and future of Anderlecht. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is increasingly becoming an important link in the Mauve & Blanc.
Mario Stroeykens took on another dimension this season. The attacking midfielder has finally found his place, his best position, and his statistics but also and above all his presence in the game are more and more convincing.
Last summer, clubs like Fiorentina and Ajax showed interest in Stroeykens, but were met with a hefty price tag. Anderlecht do not want to let their talented midfielder go so easily and had then set the threshold at at least 15 million euros, according to Het Laatste Nieuws.

With a contract running until mid-2026, Anderlecht is in a solid negotiating position. If the club sells the midfielder this summer, they want to do so for a substantial amount, with a threshold of up to €20 million this time.
Anderlecht has high hopes for a future sale of Stroeykens, who would then leave the club through the front door. Let’s remember that if Jesper Fredberg failed last summer, it was also because he was unable to sell as much as hoped…
