Things are not going well with the Nashville Predators, dead last in the Central section of the National Hockey League, and the disarray inside the locker room is becoming more and more noticeable.
Once again, head coach Andrew Brunette’s men delivered a poor performance on Monday, falling 3-0 to the Los Angeles Kings. Much to the displeasure of the crowd at Bridgestone Arena, they were limited to 16 shots, including just three in the final period.

This evening was a reflection of the “Preds” season: despite the acquisition of Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault last summer, they have a record of 4-7-1. Some keen observers will point out that this is the same record claimed by the Montreal Canadiens, who are not considered a club aspiring to the Stanley Cup.
Among the disgruntled is Ryan O’Reilly. He finished Monday’s game with a differential of -2 and for the entire campaign, he sits at -5. Even if his offensive production of nine points in 12 outings seems interesting, the attacker wants to do better and quickly.
“I can say this about myself: I am extremely frustrated. I probably played in my opinion one of my worst matches ever, whether it was generating and making plays or losing battles, he told the magazine The Hockey News. I was pathetic, I was getting rid of the puck.”
“We need to sort this out by leaving town. It’s annoying, but on the outside, it’s a little easier. You just have to show up and play,” he added about the Predators’ collective performance.
They will visit the Washington Capitals on Wednesday, 7 p.m., on the TVA Sports channel.
