PSG – Atlético de Madrid: the probable composition with the returns of Donnarumma and Zaire-Emery

A problem of the rich, or at least the privileged. Failing to be able to already count on the services of the long-term injured Presnel Kimpembé, Lucas Hernandez and Gonçalo Ramos, all in the approach phase, Luis Enrique can be satisfied with having the entire rest of his squad available. On the eve of the reception of Atlético de Madrid, this Wednesday evening at the Parc des Princes, it was a full group and full of good humor who refined the final adjustments this Tuesday morning on the lawn of the PSG Campus.

Under the gaze of President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, who spent a long time chatting at the edge of the pitch with Luis Campos, his football director, Luis Enrique’s troops did not seem disturbed by the stakes of the meeting which awaits them this Wednesday against the Madrilenians on the occasion of this fourth day of the Champions League.

The probable composition of PSG : Donnarumma – Hakimi, Marquinhos (cap.), Pacho, Mendes – Zaïre-Emery, Vitinha, Neves – Dembélé, Asensio or Lee, Barcola.

After taking the lead in Ligue 1 on Saturday thanks to their success against (1-0), the Parisians seemed confident about their possibilities of delivering a benchmark match against Diego Simeone’s troops. But aware that the task will not be the simplest, Luis Enrique could however make some adjustments to the starting eleven which won this weekend against the Northerners.

If he explained, this Tuesday at a press conference, that he would only decide on his team composition this Wednesday morning “after a good cappuccino”, the Parisian coach should, four days after having invited him to breathe the bench, line up Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal. The defensive quartet should not experience any upheavals. To accompany Marquinhos, who will celebrate his 200th as captain, Achraf Hakimi in the right lane, Willian Pacho in the center and Nuno Mendes on the left, seem almost certain to go. In the middle, however, Fabian Ruiz could pay the price for his lackluster performance over the weekend and leave Warren Zaire-Emery to accompany the Vitinha – Neves tandem.

In attack, Enrique should trust his strong men, the “wingers” Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola. It remains to be seen who the third man will be. To (finally) shake the nets on the European scene, Marco Asensio could be offered a new chance four days after showing good activity but suffering from a lack of success against Lens. Otherwise, the Spanish technician could turn to Lee Kang-In, to whom he had entrusted the role of false nine during the last two Parisian outings in the Champions League.
