Moroccan international Adam Aznou said he was satisfied with his first appearance with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, after playing the last ten minutes of the match where the Bavarian club beat Union Berlin (3-0) in of the 9th day of the German championship.
Aznou shared his joy at playing in the Bundesliga for the first time with Bayern Munich on his social media accounts, where he wrote: “There is no better way to make my debut than at the Allianz Arena stadium in front of our supporters… Very happy to have played my first minutes in the Bundesliga. Thank you to the coach for putting his trust in me and thank you for all the messages I received.”
Atlas Lions players reacted to Aznou’s post with congratulatory comments, including Abdelhamid Sabiri, Munir Mohamedi, and Chadi Riad.
Aznou came on as a substitute for Canadian star Alphonso Davies in the 80th minute, marking his first appearance with the first team after numerous matches with the reserve team, of which he is captain.
Belgian coach Vincent Kompany praised Aznou’s first performance, saying that the player has great qualities and that he will be able to accomplish many positive things if he continues to work with the same seriousness.
Kompany said in the post-match press conference: “Adam has been excellent in training and with the national team. He can be proud of himself. Now he just has to keep working.”
