Kevin Danso went through a difficult ordeal at the start of the season, after his transfer to AS Roma failed for medical reasons. Returning to the competition after having passed numerous tests with several institutions to ensure that his health was not in danger, the defender spoke to La Voix du Nord about this aborted transfer.
While he assures that he was not afraid for this one as well as his career, that he considers himself changed like the calm with which he managed the situation of this frustrating penalty conceded against Lille, he now looks in front, always happy to wear the Sang et Or colors. But with what horizon in mind? Asked about his future and the possibility of seeing him leave during the season, he replied as follows: “ I don't know. My goal is to play the whole season, here or elsewhere. Leaving is a possibility, but I don't know how I will feel in January. For now, I'm here and my goal is Paris (5 p.m., 10th day of Ligue 1). But it is possible for everyone to leave in January, there is a transfer window (…) At this stage of my career, I can say that anything can happen in football, but I am looking to reach the next level. I want to play at the highest level. At least try to win titles, tell myself that I tried, see if I'm good enough and I mean it. For me it's the next step, playing for titles, seeing how it feels. This is where I want to be, where I deserve to be. And then obviously, once you're there, you have to prove that you have your place. »
