Is the rag starting to burn between French and Algerian supporters in the stands of football stadiums and others?

Can we deduce that between French and Algerians the current no longer flows properly following the latest political fallout between the two countries even if there is no reason to integrate politics into sport but there are times or particular circumstances can have a certain impact on other registers

Still, during the French Ligue 1 meeting at the Meinau stadium on September 29 between Racing Club de (RCS) and Olympique de (OM), the latter was marked by an unfortunate incident when an RCS supporter brandished and then burned an Algerian flag, sparking heated controversy.

According to the daily “Les Dernieres Nouvelles d’Alsace”, the individual whose act was captured by surveillance cameras, then later identified, belonged to the group of far-right hooligans called “Offender”.

As a result, the fan received a one-year stadium ban, valid for matches at the Meinau stadium.

Furthermore, the Racing Club de Strasbourg filed a complaint and requested the prefecture to consider more severe administrative sanctions against the individual, who could face additional measures.
