Swiss Olympic has selected four athletes for BMX at the Paris Olympics. Nadine Aeberhard, Zoé Claessens, Cedric Butti and Simon Marquart will be there.

Zoé Claessens will participate in her second Olympics. In Tokyo, his journey ended in the semi-final. Since then, the Vaudoise has confirmed that she is one of the best in the discipline. The 23-year-old won her third gold medal at the European Championships in Verona and her second silver medal at the World Championships in the United States.

Like Claessens, Simon Marquart will experience his second Games. He came out in the quarter-finals in Japan. The 27-year-old from Zurich became the first Swiss to win a world champion title in 2022 in Nantes. This season, Marquart finished 5th overall in the World Cup.

A first for Aeberhard

Substitute in 2021, Cedric Butti has progressed. The 24-year-old from Thurgau won European silver in Dessel two years ago. And with his three podiums in six races this season, Butti finished 2nd overall in the World Cup.

As for Nadine Aeberhard, she will have her first Olympic experience. The 22-year-old Bernese reached her first World Cup final by finishing 4th in Tulsa. She also won bronze at the European Championships and finished 3rd in the Olympic test event.
