French Championship – Final. The Salanquais may harbor regrets after a lost final which they could have won.

The Nationale 4 final is the last of the day at the Jean-Galia stadium. At 6 p.m., Audois and Salanquais found themselves on the field for the third time this season, this time with a title after the last 80 minutes of the season. Carried or hampered by a strong wind, typical of the region, the 26 players fought hard throughout the match to get rid of their opponent. And in this final, it is Val XIII which attacks first. With the headwind, the Corbières players quickly found the fault through Nathan Torrecillas (7). The transformation passes before the trend reverses and the “locals” return to their game. On their first dangerous offensive, Christophe Coromina’s men almost found the fault but Mattéo Gaude committed a forward attack when flattening (12). The Catalans push but only manage to open the scoring through the boot of their scorer Vincent Tene (27). The impacts are harsh and the two teams exchange blow for blow but the score no longer changes and the referee sends everyone back to the locker room. After half-time, St-Laurent was left behind by another Val try but quickly recovered thanks to center Dorian Colomer. Once again, the Salanquais concede points from their home scorer but once again manage to come back to within six points of the opponents. Mattéo Gaude once again had the ball to equalize ten minutes from the end but let the ball slip away. The players of the Lagrasse-Serviès en Val agreement crucified the Barcarès/St-Laurent agreement two minutes from the end while the skies and whites, pushed by their public, tried everything for everything to pick up the score. A cruel defeat for the Salanquais in a tight final.
