Neuville to make the gap in the championship, Foumaux wants to continue

Neuville, the most consistent of all competitors this season in the WRC, will for his part try to widen the gap a little further on Evans as mid-season looms.

“The Sardinia rally is very technical so you will have to achieve flawless driving throughout the weekend and know how to adapt to changing conditions. The heat, tire management and the length of the stages will be the challenges to face. As always, the objective will be to give our all to achieve the best possible result,” said the Belgian.

Frenchman Adrien Fourmaux (M-Sport/Ford), who has scored 11 or more points in each of the first five rounds of the season, will try to extend this unexpected consistency as he makes his return to the premier class this year after a year at the lower level.

Even if he lost third place in the championship in Portugal to the benefit of Estonian Ott Tänak (Hyundai), the Habs have had a very good season so far, marked by their first two podiums in the WRC.

The format of the rally has changed this year with only 266 timed kilometers divided into 16 special stages, 55 fewer than in 2023.
