This Saturday evening, violent incidents took place on the sidelines of the Coupe de France final between PSG and OL. Lyon supporters attacked their Parisian counterparts at the Fresnes toll booth as both camps headed towards Lille. If several injured were to be counted following this brawl, the former president of Les Gones Jean-Michel Aulas spoke about this sad evening.

For the 15th time in its history, PSG won the Coupe de France. This Saturday evening, the partners of Kylian Mbappé thus took the best of OL (1-2), in an evening which was marked by clashes between supporters of the two camps. Indeed, around 6 p.m., Parisians and Lyonnais violently got into a fight at the toll booth. Fresnes (Val de Marne). A big brawl took place between the supporters of the two teams, while the bus carrying the supporters of OL unfortunately joined that of PSG towards the stadium Pierre Mauroy.

If the toll of Fresnes even caught fire following these clashes, the prefect of the North Bertrand Gaume drew up a sad assessment later in the evening: “At least eight police officers were injured and several tear gas grenades were fired. Order was restored very quickly despite smoke bombs fired by one of the teams against the opposing bus. The toll is important, because there was one bus set on fire and four were damaged and will have to be replaced to ensure the return of supporters of one of the two teams”.

From his account Xthe former president of OL Jean-Michel Aulas also reacted to his violent actions: “Violence has nothing to do with sport and football. Let us together condemn the unacceptable violence of yesterday. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured and really think of the families and friends who are affected”.
