The Bayonnais won (32 – 15) against Racing 92 but let the offensive bonus point slip away. Largely in the lead, Grégory Patat’s men let the Ile-de-France residents come back at the end of the match. The Basques still continue after their prestigious victory against La Rochelle.

A success logically acquired over the course of the second half, during a meeting that was certainly imperfect, but full of efficiency. The Basques will, however, regret having conceded two avoidable tries which deprived them of the offensive bonus. Always impeccable at home, Bayonne temporarily climbs onto the podium.
Carreras by a hair, Rowing in the lead
If Racing gave the impression of dominating the game and territorially, there was a clear lack of efficiency in the Ile-de-France game. Unlike the Basques, very realistic. If Mateo Carreras was pushed into touch while he was heading for a try, it would be a penalty from Segonds (3-0, 6th). The winger once again stood out on a throw-in stolen by his lineout, one of many in this match. Going solo, he broke four tackles before missing his pass. He obtained a penalty on the action behind (6-0, 12th). Finally, on a superb breakthrough from pillar Tatafu, the Bayonnais found themselves in a position to score, but the Argentinian let the ball escape in the tackle (23rd), facing the in-goal.
But Rowing was finally able to score its try before half-time. Racing offered a counter to the locals, Maqala then Paulos moving up the field. On the open play, Facundo Bosch found an interval to score (13-0, 34th). A try which could have given rise to another, because on the dismissal, Habel-Kuffner escaped from the ruck to move up the field. His follow-up kick came back at Machenaud, who sent Iturria to try (35th). Unfortunately, the third row had left in an illegal position in the ruck, and it was Racing who unlocked their counter (13-3).
