The decision was expected but is now officially confirmed. The Ministry of the Interior has banned the travel of PSG supporters to for the Classic on October 27, at the end of the 9th day of Ligue 1. This decision was made official yesterday by the ministry, citing long-standing animosity between supporters of the two clubs, as well as a “real and serious risk of clashes”.

Places already sold to Marseillais

The Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, also stressed that the police are partly on rest after the Olympic Games period, limiting resources to ensure security. The decree specifies that between midnight and 11:59 p.m. that day, PSG supporters, whether in groups or alone, will not be able to travel to Marseille. Despite this ban, Olympique de Marseille has already put the seats reserved for opposing supporters on sale, thus guaranteeing a full stadium. Currently, PSG occupies second place in the standings with 17 points, behind Monaco (19 points) and ahead of OM (14 points), before the 8th day.
