A dream that can come true on May 18 in Rotterdam against quadruple world champion Donovan Wisse.

RTSsport: Fighting for the title at Glory is historic…

ULRIC BOKEME: Yes, it’s historic. We were still talking about it 10 years ago here (editor’s note: at Singto Gym, in Geneva) in the ring, when the coach asked us the question: ‘what are your goals?’ My goal was to become world champion. It’s a dream come true. Especially since I am the first Swiss to box for a world belt.

RTSsport: How do you prepare for such an important fight?

ULRIC BOKEME: We know we’re going to fight for the title, so we condition ourselves mentally to be ready for the fight. We are in a positive, combative, competitive state of mind. In general, I don’t put too much stress on myself. I train twice a day, I’m pretty confident.

RTSsport: In case of victory, what will be the next ambition?

ULRIC BOKEME: The next step is to go for the belt in the higher category. Once I have the 85 kg one, the ideal is to get the 93 kg one. And once I get the 93 one, we’ll go get Alex Pereira, a UFC champion (laughs).
