NHL: the Edmonton Oilers lose 4 to 1 against the Calgary Flames (hockey)

The Flames scored four unanswered goals to win the Battle of Alberta 4-1 and hand the Oilers a third loss in as many games.

The match started well for the Oilers when Jeff Skinner scored his first goal in his new colors with barely 76 seconds remaining.

Calgary, however, ignited afterwards. Rasmus Andersson scored the only goal of the second period.

In the third, Anthony Mantha took advantage of a throw return to score his second goal in three games.

Less than three minutes later, Justin Kirkland gave the Flames a 3-1 lead with the first goal of his NHL career.

Nothing is going well for the last Stanley Cup finalists, who still have not found the path to victory after three games.

Known last season for their devastating offense, the Oilers only scored three goals in as many games.

The air of western Canada seems to be doing the greatest good for Mantha, who is having a great start to the season with four points in three games.
