President of Chambéry SF, Jean-Louis Saint-Bonnet had given rather reassuring news from Nathan Taravel.

This Sunday morning, the club published on social networks with a photo a photo of its player wearing a neck brace when leaving the emergency room of Thonon hospital. He had been taken following a shock that occurred at the 73e minute you match 5e round of the Coupe de opposing Chambéry SF to Ballaison on Saturday evening (4-0 victory).

Nathan Taravel suffers from a sprained neck. The left-handed piston of the CSF had fallen badly and quite violently on his head during a play, after contact with a defender of the Haut-Savoyard district club.

He remained for long minutes without moving on the ground, while first aid was given to him before he was then evacuated to the emergency room of Thonon hospital. While Simon Gascon, player “at fault in the action” which caused the Savoyard’s injury, was sent off by the referee.

The match was interrupted for a good fifteen minutes before resuming while the qualification of the Savoyards was almost confirmed at that time, the CSF leading 3-0.

Chambéry finally won 4-0 (a hat-trick from Nikola Volic and a goal from Quentin Mazars), heading to 6e tour, but suffered damage during this match with also the injuries of Quentin Mazars (ankle) and Lamine Sylla (thigh), both involved in the third goal of the Savoyards, with the realization of the first named on a back cross of the second.
