Anderlecht supporters went beyond the limits: “This time, they really screwed up” – All football

During the Europa League meeting last Thursday at Real Sociedad, Anderlecht ultras belonging to the Mauves Army were the perpetrators of excesses.

During the meeting in the San Sebastian stadium, Anderlecht ultras distinguished themselves in the worst possible way. Several of them threw seats towards the parking lot below, where there were Spanish fans.

Anderlecht was sanctioned by UEFA for the excesses of its supporters. The Mauves Army were whistled and insulted last Sunday at Lotto Park during the match against Standard.

Ivan Boelenssubscriber for 50 years to Anderlecht and president of the fan club, spoke in the columns ofThe Importance of Limburg. He of course regrets these events.

“I have already experienced 160 European movements, but this was really the last straw. It distorts the image of Anderlecht,” he began. “The management of the Mauves Army are very disappointed by what happened. They had such a good relationship with the club and now they realize how badly they screwed up.”

“I have learned that the Mauves Army will make a statement to distance itself or apologize, but the timing has to be right,” Boelens announces. But it is obvious that we will also come together with as many parties as possible – it is my job to organize that. (…) We must ensure internal unity. Because all this harms the club.”
