Already accused of drunken sexual assault and attempted rape, two separate cases, Wissam Ben Yedder will be tried in December 2024 for “psychological violence” against his wife, reports L’Équipe.

Wissam Ben Yedder’s legal woes continue. The former Monaco striker, French international on 19 occasions (3 goals), is being prosecuted for “psychological violence leading to total incapacity for work for more than eight days on his wife”, reports L’Equipe. The 34-year-old is sent back to the Criminal Court on December 27.

The complaint was filed by his wife, with whom he has been divorcing since May 2023, last February. She denounces “threats of physical violence”, “severe psychological violence”, “economic violence”, “insults”, “humiliation” and “intimidation”, as indicated by the magazine L’Equipe a few years ago. weeks.

Involved in two other cases

Ben Yedder was taken into police custody for these alleged acts on May 31. He finally emerged free, without any charges against him. But charges were eventually brought.

On October 15, in just a week, Ben Yedder will begin his trial in another legal case. The former Monegasque is on trial in Nice for sexual assault while drunk for alleged acts dating back to the night of September 6 to 7, 2024. A 21-year-old woman accuses him of touching and of having attempted to kiss in his car.

With his brother, he has also been indicted for “rape, attempted rape and sexual assault” since the summer of 2023.
